A Tribute to Thurgood Marshall
The Coalition sponsored a preview and reception for the opening of Marching Toward Justice on May 17, 2001 at the Kansas Judicial Center. The program consisted of a number of opening remarks, a keynote address, and the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Juan Williams giving keynote address. Mr. Williams is a noted writer and journalist. His book Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary provides insights about the life and legacy of this civil rights giant. Mr. Williams is currently host of "Talk of the Nation," on National Public Radio and a Political Analyst on "Fox News Sunday," Fox Television. His regular television appearances include CNN "Crossfire," "The Larry King Show," and "Inside Washingtion." In 1987, he published groundbreaking work in his book Eyes on the Prize-- America's Civil Rights Years 1954-1965, a companion piece to the PBS series.
